Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Time: 1 p.m. CT / 2 p.m. ET

Moderator:
Trevor Hedrich

Summary:
Because of the interconnected link between mental health and physical health, hospitals should focus on mental health as another avenue to improving patients’ stays. In this session we will discuss the idea of therapeutic outlets, their strengths and weaknesses, their challenges, and what we can do individually and as a group to help support this idea.

Note: This discussion is for informational and community support purposes and is not medical advice.

Recording notice: This session will be recorded for internal review and possible educational use. If we share a recording publicly (including YouTube), we will post an edited version focused on general information and community tips, and we will remove participant personal stories and identifying details when possible.

If you prefer not to be recorded, you’re welcome to keep your camera off, change your display name, and/or participate via chat. If you have concerns, please contact us in advance.

Recording or reposting AMDA webinars is prohibited without the AMDA’s prior express written permission. Unauthorized use may result in takedown demands and legal action.

Trevor Hedrich

Hello! My name is Trevor Hedrich! Someone who has had Pompe disease ever since the age of three. I am currently a college student at Saginaw Valley State University! Although I have recently switched my major to computer science this year, I have been in public health for a couple of years previously, leading to this choice of topic for the session. If you are curious about my hobbies, I tend to game a lot, read a lot, write a lot (I am a poet!), and try out new things every so often! I am so excited to be a speaker for this session of TWYPP! See you there!
