The AMDA is excited to announce a research grant opportunity for applicants who are involved in Pompe Disease research. This grant opportunity was made possible by the 2022 Pull for Pompe, a private fundraiser held by the Precast Manufacturer’s Association of Texas (PCMA of Texas) aimed at promoting research into Pompe Disease. This was the eleventh annual Pull for Pompe, and the AMDA would like to thank everyone who participated and made this Grant possible. The Grant is also made possible by the generous donations of the Pompe Community.
The research grant is for a one-time grant of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00). The entire grant amount must go towards Pompe research (no indirect costs).
Since 2013, the AMDA’s Research Grant has been in memory of Helen Walker, a Pompe patient, advocate and friend who devoted her life to advocating for Pompe patients in Australia, New Zealand, and around the world.
If you have a proposal for a research project with Pompe Disease as its subject, and would like to be considered for the grant, please complete the attached grant application and return it by Friday, February 17, 2023.
In order to be considered for the grant, the proposal must be directly related to Pompe Disease research.
