For the twentieth (20th) anniversary of the AMDA, we will be hosting an International Patient and Scientific Conference in San Antonio, Texas from October 30, 2015 – November 1, 2015.
The Conference will begin on Friday evening (October 30th) with a Welcome Dinner, and will conclude on Sunday (November 1st).

Please click here for the 2015 Conference Registration Form.  Each family, speaker, patient organization representative, industry representative, and physician should complete the Online Registration Form.  There is no Conference Registration Fee.

We are very excited to announce that this year we are working with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit to all attending physicians! So please encourage your treating physicians to attend! This will be a unique opportunity for them to meet and interact with leading experts in the physician and scientific community. The UT Health Science Center San Antonio School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

The Conference Agenda is now available—subject to minor changes.

As you will see, in addition to the standard presentations, the AMDA is excited to announce that we will have a Roundtable Session led by several experts in the Pompe field.  The topic of this Roundtable will be “ERT: What Have We Learned So Far.” Active participation from the audience will be encouraged to truly discuss and understand where we have been and where we are going in terms of enzyme replacement therapy and Pompe disease management.

We have created an informational flyer for physicians regarding the Conference and the CME credit being provided. We encourage all patients to send one to all of their doctors—this will be a one-of-a kind opportunitty for treating physicians to meet with leading Pompe experts, network, and earn free CME credit (there is no Conference registration fee). Please direct any questions to Tiffany House (AMDA President, IPA Chair) at Tiffany@worldpompe.org

In acknowledgement of the Conference falling on Halloween, we will have special events planned for the kids (and kids at heart!) who attend.
Stay tuned to the AMDA website or to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AcidMaltaseDeficiencyAssociation) for more information on the Conference as it becomes available!
